Bosse Larsson

Bosse Larsson is the seventh subject of the Treasures series. Bosse was born in 1941, and I filmed him at his home in Björklinge one fine day in April 2006.

Bosse learned to play fiddle from his paternal uncle, the legendary fiddler Viksta-Lasse and is now the tradition bearer and interpreter of Viksta-Lasse’s tunes. Playing with Bosse is his son, Robert Larsson. Father and son are both also thoroughly steeped in the musical traditions of Uppland and are actively engaged in keeping this wonderful music alive and vibrant. I invite you to join them!!

Bosse was awarded the Zorn Gold Medal in 2017. He passed away in April 2022.

All my Treasures films were originally for sale and distributed in DVD format. In 2024 I decided to release the films on YouTube.
